Chaitra Poornima is an auspicious day marked by various religious and spiritual rituals. Here are the key rituals observed on this day:

1. Early Morning Holy Bath (Snan)

  • Devotees wake up early and take a holy dip in sacred rivers like the Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari, or Krishna.
  • Bathing in these rivers is believed to cleanse sins and bring spiritual merit.

2. Worship of Lord Vishnu and Satyanarayana Puja

  • Devotees perform Satyanarayana Puja, a special ritual dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
  • Offerings include fruits, sweets, Panchamrit (a mixture of milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar), and Tulsi leaves.
  • The Satyanarayana Katha (story) is recited, followed by Aarti.
